AllianzGI invests in redevelopment of Dover Western Docks

26 January 2017. Allianz Global Investors has made a £55 million investment on behalf of its clients into the redevelopment of Dover Western Dock, announced today by Dover Harbour Board (DHB). The investment, through a 30-year private placement bond, will help support a multi-year capital programme to be undertaken by DHB to redevelop the western docks, expand ferry capacity in the eastern dock and improve the environment of Dover.

Allianz Global Investors announces that Jorge Camiña has joined the firm as a Director within the Infrastructure Debt team. Based in New York, Jorge will be responsible for developing the US infrastructure debt business further in this new role. He will report to Paul David, who heads the US Infrastructure Debt team at AllianzGI.

Second refinancing transaction with UPP

University Partnerships Programme (UPP), the leading provider of on campus student accommodation infrastructure and support services in the UK announces the refinancing of UPP (Byron House) Holdings Limited. The total funding was £78.5 million. Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) provided £67.3 million index-linked debt on a tenor of 33 years, while UPP and Nottingham Trent University provided £11.2 million of subordinated debt and equity.

April 2016: Allianz Global Investors, has announced the completion of a refinancing arrangement for Venice’s Passante di Mestre motorway. The agreement is the first Project Bond to be guaranteed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) on an Italian infrastructure development.

AllianzGI invests in Scotland’s largest PPP deal

Double first for AllianzGI in infrastructure

December 2014: Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), today announced that it has invested £119.7 million in the refinancing of the student accommodation project at the University of Exeter.  The investment includes the first investment from AllianzGI’s UK Infrastructure Debt Fund, which launched in June this year.  The project is also the first transaction that AllianzGI has undertaken on behalf of its clients in the student accommodation sector.

AllianzGI welcomes Withholding Tax Exemption
